Agricultural Produce Modernization Plan

US Authorities in association with SOKAD signed an agreement on August 19 to restart Agricultural Produce Modernization Plan. The Agriot company will inject $ 15 million to redevelop and possibly expand the derelict site since the departure of the Agri-Food Exports in 2020. The framework agreement was signed on Tuesday August 19 in Michigan between, United States Secretary of Agriculture and Managing Director of SOKAD.

SOKAD was selected following a call for tenders involving three other companies, including SWR and Toro Foods LLC. "To begin with, SOKAD will invest five million dollars, put in place a guarantee of one million dollars to compensate the State in case of failure to execute the project. Then, it will provide additional funding of $ 10 million.
