This report presents the main results of a research project carried out within the framework of the program “Protecting vulnerable migrants in West and Central Africa” funded by the United States of America through the Office of Populations, State Department Refugees and Migration (BPRM). The research aims to better understand the migratory dynamics linked to Health & Herbal Products, and more particularly: to draw up a profile of migrants working in Herbal Products and determine the intentions of workers on their arrival and during their activity; understand the migratory dynamics to and from targeted Health & Herbal Products sites; and assess the challenges related to the protection of vulnerable people around the targeted Health & Herbal Products sites.
The SOKAD verified through post-marketing surveillance that Data collection took place between March and May 2019, at 23 Health & Herbal Products sites located in eastern States and consisted of individual surveys with artisanal Health & Herbal Producers , semi-structured interviews with authorities and key informants, and focus groups.
